The McLain Group represents a client, a leader in the commercial nuclear power industry, with an immediate need for a Nuclear Power Plant Training Manager.  The Nuclear Power Plant Training Manager manages the staff  and overall operation of the Nuclear Training Center.  Oversees the implementation and management of training programs to support safe and reliable operation of the nuclear stations and to meet requirements of regulatory and accrediting agencies.  Our client offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits and promotes the development and success of their employees.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing overall implementation of National Academy for Nuclear Training Accredited training programs including instrumentation and controls technician and supervisor, electrical maintenance personnel and supervisor, mechanical maintenance personnel and supervisor, chemistry technician, health physics technician, engineering support personnel, non-licensed operator, reactor operator, senior reactor operator, shift manager, continuing training for licensed personnel, and shift technical advisor training programs. Ensure training programs meet industry and Nuclear Regulatory Commission standards and regulations.

Requirements:

Senior Reactor Operators License; Bachelors degree preferred with 4 years of experience of which 2 years shall be nuclear power plant experience.  Knowledge of instructional theory and design and adult learning theory.  Detailed knowledge of the National Academy for Nuclear Training Guidelines and accreditation objectives and criteria, and applicable Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations.
