This position reports directly to senior management and is responsible for coordinating, administrating and controlling the financial operations.  This company is seeking a qualified and experienced controller with high integrity to join their team. This is a hands on position that requires working knowledge of accounting disciplines such as, financial accounting, compliance reporting and budget preparation as well as systems development and improvement.  Strong interpersonal skills and effective communications both verbal and written are essential.  Must have the ability to plan and prioritize workloads in order to meet accounting deadlines.


  • Proactively provide financial support through budgeting, tracking, analyzing, preparing journal entries, maintaining and reconciling ledger accounts and completing financial transactions including moving funds internationally.
  • Provide monthly Profit & Loss Statements, maintaining Balance Sheets, quarterly and annual reports.
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data including trends, direct and indirect cost, performance against plan, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Ensure that business cash flow adequately supports company work activities and produces optimal results.
  • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors when necessary.
  • Provide ad hoc support for various cost questions, project justifications and strategic analysis to support the business and provide a method for continuous improvement (investments, quality, inventory, cost, etc.)
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to enable effective decision making within each group through integration of performance metrics into management processes.
  • Supervise financial and accounting staff and ensure that relevant information is communicated enabling them to effectively carry out their functions.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


Bachelor Degree in Accounting or MBA.  Must be CA or CPA qualified, with at least five years senior accounting experience.  Must have experience with Microsoft Excel (and/or other software SAP, QuickBooks, etc.?).  Must be able to handle multiple and diverse assignments.  Must be able to operate within a team environment, requires some travel.
