The McLain Group represents a client, a leader in the commercial nuclear power industry, with an immediate need for a Work Control Manager.  The Work Control Manager directs nuclear plant outage and work management.programs and processes consistent with nuclear industry standards and common practices.   Our client offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits and promotes the development and success of their employees.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of nuclear plant activities related to Outage and Work Management ensuring efficient, safe and reliable plantoperation per our operating license.

- Manages costs within approved budget and continuously strives for additional effectiveness and methods to control costs and reduce budget on an annual basis.

- Cognizant of industry standards, continuously striving for “Best in Class” performance by promoting continuous improvement and benchmarking strategies.

- Promote and strictly enforce standards and management expectations.

- Develops programs and practices that instill in personnel the highest standards of performance and attention to detail.

- Maintain a workforce that is fully trained and qualified and possesses necessary technical skills to successfully perform assigned duties.

 

Requirements:

-  High School diploma or equivalent GED

-  Five years supervisory experience with a minimum of 4 years in the craft or discipline supervised.

-  Twelve years experience in Nuclear power plant experience in work control, maintenance or operations

-  Must be able to pass all phases of in-processing including a background investigation, psychological screening, appropriate radiation worker/respiratory training and be medically certifiable drug and alcohol screen.

Preferred that currently have or previously held an SRO license.
