The McLain Group represents a client, a leader in the commercial nuclear power industry, with an immediate need for a nuclear power plant Engineering Scheduler.  Our client offers competitive compensation, excellent benefits and promotes the development and success of their employees.

The Engineering Scheduler is responsible for developing Design Engineering Department Work Schedules.


Develop and maintain the detailed work schedule for Design Engineering tasks, primarily Engineering Changes and their associated Milestone Schedules.  Interface with the System Engineering Work Management Coordinator for scheduling of cross discipline work items.

Develop and maintain detailed schedule for Design Engineering disciplines.  Develop and maintain resource loading profiles.  Interface with other River Bend work group representatives, such as Planning and Outage Management, to integrate the Engineering Change schedules into the site work schedule.

Review specific scope of work orders and make recommendations for scheduling.  Develop ‘what if’ schedules and perform analysis with the working groups to determine the most effective method of scheduling the work.  Identify support activities and add these activities to the schedule.

Facilitate the interface between work groups.  Identify deficiencies, analyze alternatives, and recommend solutions to schedule conflicts.  Recommend changes to existing methods, procedures, and processes to improve overall outage activities.  Communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.  Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.


B.S. Degree in Engineering or other closely related scientific discipline or equivalent work experience (equivalent experience defined as demonstrated success at the engineer or technical specialist level.)

Engineer II – III:  2 – 4 years’ experience in nuclear power design, operations or equivalent experience depending upon engineering level.

Engineer Sr: 3 – 5 years’ experience in nuclear power design, operations or equivalent experience depending upon engineering level
