The major duties and responsibilities of this position will drive the success of the company in the selling, manufacturing, and delivering of products to the customer on time, with high quality and at a profit while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Acting as the primary point of contact between their valued customers and the company, the Regional Account Manager will assume account responsibility as a trusted advisor to the Company’s customers in managing existing accounts and cultivating new account opportunities for market and revenue growth.

This position sells the Company’s products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs resulting in revenue generation

Assist with all potential customer activity during the various business and project development phases on an opportunity through to receipt of inquiry to order (ITO).

Responsibilities:

  • Champion and strengthen the Company’s brand and expand our market share within their region in the North American nuclear market.
  • Provide market intelligence regarding competitor offerings, applications, trends and customer expectations.
  • Maintaining up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.
  • Identify and develop our unique selling propositions and differentiators through knowledge of the market and competitors.
  • Help to develop, plan and co-ordinate the implementation of business plans to drive market sector growth.
  • Making regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads. Act to close deals & finalize contacts. Meeting established sales quotas and revenue goals.
  • Work with team to ensure all inquiries and prospects are included in sales and operational planning activities.
  • Manages the sales cycle at all customer sites, corporate offices and consultants as required achieving the Company’s objectives. Promotes value-added to all customers at all stages of the selling cycle
  • Manages their individual open quote pipeline for accuracy and closure within the Company’s CRM system.  Runs appropriate reports to understand the health of the business.
  • Follows established guidelines for tracking sales in the CRM system and utilizes the CRM system to effectively manage and drive sales activity. Daily follow-up of CRM tasks (from follow-up to closure), with specific information gathered and entered in CRM at each stage. Examples of information include (1) competition, (2) pricing compared to competition, (3) most valued aspect of quotation – cost, delivery, warranty, etc., and (4) if sale was lost, to whom and by what criteria.
  • Identifies and participates in relevant tradeshows/conferences/lunch and learns through exhibiting, presenting, and/or attending.
  • Proactively identify and drive opportunities to cross sell our portfolio of products and services.
  • Submits periodic and yearly territory reports to Sales Director to forecast and plan resources and budgets
  • Manages their travel and selling expenses per the Company’s travel policy and submits weekly expense reports.

Requirements:

  • 4 years experience
  • BS Degree
